Wendi Wells
I attended an AMTA ( American Massage Therapy Association)
accredited massage school, the Central California School of Body
Therapy, and graduated in 1999. I studied various massage
techniques including Contemporary Massage, Sports Massage,
Reflexology, and Passive Joint Movement. I received my Massage
Practitioner certification, have been in practice since 2000, and I am
a member in good standing with Associated Bodywork & Massage
Professionals.

Since the start of my career, I have taken my training and education
in the health and wellness industry very seriously.  I have continued
my education in therapeutic massage, bodywork, and natural health
at Hirudaya School of Healing Arts in San Luis Obispo.  My other
studies have included
an additional 300+ hours of Integrative
Massage,
Hot Stone Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Chair
Massage, Deep Tissue Bodywork, Manual Lymphatic Drainage,
Pathology, Anatomy, and Physiology.

I believe one of the greatest benefits of massage is its ability to
create a sense of well-being and satisfy the need for a caring,
nurturing touch.  My practice includes a wide range of clients, from
all walks of life, who are seeking to improve a variety of health and
wellness related issues such as injuries; pre and post op work;
chronic pain and RSI; disease management such as cancer,
diabetes, lupus, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia; expectant
mothers; clients working through body issues as a result of
childhood trauma; as well as clients seeking massage for stress
management due to high stress occupations and lifestyles; and
general relaxation and over all health maintenance.  I  feel that
surrounding yourself with the soothing sounds of water fountains
and nature, the aromatic scents of essential oils, and comforting
music are an integral part of the healing process bringing you closer
to achieving balance and wellness.  I try to tailor your massage to
your preferences, even if you don't know what they are yet!  I'm
always willing to recommend and/or acquire therapeutic techniques
and treatments to make the most of your sessions.

I am very committed to my clients' care, satisfaction, and total
wellness.   Bringing empathy to my work, actively listening to your
concerns, providing thoroughly attentive sessions, updating and
continuing my education, staying current with information & research
by reading, viewing videos, and attending workshops, and
addressing your questions and health needs are top priorities of my
business.  My goals as a Massage Practitioner are to bring comfort,
compassion and healing into the lives of my clients, and to help my
clients achieve their personal wellness goals in a realistic and
affordable manner.  If I can't provide you with the service you're
seeking
or knowledgeably answer a question you may have, I will do
my best to r
esearch that topic or find someone who can! I perform
services only for which I am able (physically & emotionally), and
qualified to do.   I will refer to appropriate specialists and health care
providers when work is out of my scope of practice and/or not in
your best interest.

My wonderful husband of 15 years (as of 2008) and I are both
natives of our beautiful central coast.  We currently reside in Nipomo
with our 3 amazing children, and our 2 dogs (a Boarder
Collie/Sheltie and a Rat Terrier).  I am proud to be a homemaker,
and a Mary Kay Independent Consultant  in addition to owning a
growing private practice.  I also love spending time with my family,
and enjoy reading,
visting Yosemite National Park, collecting
seashells
and sea glass, digital scrapbooking, creative journaling
and collage.

I truly enjoy the balance that massage therapy brings to my life.  I
never knew just how much I would fall in love with this work. It has
enriched my life beyond words and I hope you'll let it do the same for
you.  I love my family, I love my community, I love my work… I have
been thoroughly blessed!
